The study investigated the extent of teacher availability for the implementation of the Millennium Development Goal Two (MDG2) in Awgu Education zone of Enugu State, Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study; two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. Instrument for data collection was a researcher developed questionnaire termed; Teacher Availability for implementation of the MDG2 Questionnaire (TAIMDG2Q). The reliability coefficient of the instrument was determined using Cronbach Alpha. Alpha value yielded 0.71, indicating high reliability of the instrument for the study. The instrument was equally validated by three experts, 2 of them are from the Department of Educational Foundations (Management Option), while the remaining one is of the Department of Science and Computer Education (Measurement and Evaluation Unit). Results of data analysis indicates a low extent of teacher availability for implementation of the MDG2 in Awgu Education zone of Enugu State especially in the core subject areas of English Language and Mathematics, same with the other subjects. Recommendations which include; employment of more teachers and making the teaching profession more attractive amongst others were put forward
