Climate change is a global phenomenon that touches on lives of every human being and inanimate world at large. Climate is that average weather condition over a long period of time including temperature, wind, rainfall, pressure, radiation, etc. The climate of the earth is dynamic that is it keeps changing in response to a variety of natural processes and man-made activities. Vegetative Open Spaces has a lot to play in the aspect of tampering the rate of climate change and its effects especially in this face of rapid human development and technological advancements. Such things as; increasing percolation of flood water thereby reducing flood and subsequent erosion, filtering of the air and reducing of pollution, lowering of the ambient air temperature therefore leaving the surrounding generally cooler, etc. All these go a long way in ameliorating the effect of climate change on the populace and the environment.
